What Nocta is

Nocta is an iPhone app that plays soothing sounds and can start them automatically when it hears a baby cry. It is a comfort tool. It is not a baby monitor, not a medical device, and it does not replace supervision of your child. Never rely on Nocta to alert you to a child's needs.

Safe use

• Keep the iPhone at least 2 metres (6 feet) from the crib and out of the child's reach.
• Start with a low volume. Babies' ears are sensitive; a gentle level is enough. The World Health Organization and pediatric guidance recommend keeping sound machines quiet and at a distance.
• Do not place the iPhone inside the crib, under bedding or near the child's head.

Nocta+

Some features (all sounds, sound shaping, the full diary, auto-pick and export) require Nocta+, available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• The yearly plan may include a free trial. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings (Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions).
• Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by country.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store terms.

Your content

The diary, profile and settings you create stay on your device. You own them. Deleting the app deletes them. See the Privacy Policy.

No warranty

Nocta is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it will detect every cry, that any sound will calm any child, or that it will run without interruption. iOS may stop background audio in low-power situations, on calls, or when another app takes over the audio session.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, Nocta.

Changes

We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
